Reality

At U Prep we believe every child deserves a life of opportunity. Unfortunately, that is not the current reality for the majority of children in Colorado.

According to the Colorado Development Council 2018 Colorado Talent Pipeline Report*, 74% of jobs in our state in 2020 will require post-secondary credentials. Right now, only 42 out of every 100 9th graders go on to pursue post-secondary education, 32 return for their second year, and 25 finish with a credential. This is a crisis for the children in our communities who we know are fully capable of becoming next generation leaders, but aren’t being set up for success. It doesn’t have to be this way.
