Submitting an Application

Candidates must complete an online application. You will be asked to upload a resume and complete a series of essay questions.

Application Review

Applications are reviewed by a member of our hiring team. Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email to schedule a phone interview.

Phone Interview

A member of the hiring team will contact you for a 30 minute phone interview to follow up on your application and to provide you with an opportunity to ask questions.

Case Studies

Candidates selected to move forward after the phone interview will then complete three case studies via email.

In-Person Interview

The final stage of the interview process is a full-day in person interview at one of our campuses. The interview day includes teaching two demo lessons with feedback, a teacher interview, school observations, case study debriefs, and a hiring team debrief.

One Year. One Mission. Become a Game Changing Teacher.

The University Prep Teaching Fellowship is an intensive, yearlong teacher training program. Fellows who successfully complete the program are offered a teaching role at one of U Prep’s campuses upon completion of the fellowship. Fellows recieve:

  • Four weeks of summer professional development.

  • A professional mentor.
  • Salary and 100% of benefits paid.
  • Cost of Colorado alternative teaching licensure paid.

The University Prep Teaching Fellowship is ideal for recent college graduates or career changers interested in earning their Colorado alternative teaching license while gaining hands on experience in one of our no excuses urban schools. Fellows must hold a Bachelors Degree from an accreddited college or university.
