U Prep Families,

We hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are finding a rhythm with remote learning. Whilst we all acknowledge this is not how we want school to be, engaging fully and enthusiastically in this period between Thanksgiving and Winter Break is incredibly important as we gear up for testing and the Spring Semester.

With that in mind, here are some important dates to note on your calendars:

• LITERACY-A-PALOZZA: Every scholar should schedule a 15-minute window with their teacher on either December 10^th or 11^th to take part in this celebration of reading. Please reach out to your teacher if you do not have a time scheduled. Participation is mandatory. There will be no regular school on these days.
• WINTER BREAK: Begins on Friday, December 18^th. The last day of school before the break is Thursday, December 17^th.
• RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING: Before we return from Winter Break everyone will have the opportunity to resubmit their preference for in-person or continued remote learning for the new semester unless there is a ‘Stay-at-Home’ order in place. The deadline for submission will be January 4^th. A survey will be sent out closer to the time.
• PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: These will take place on January 7^th. Your teacher will reach out to you in the next week with further details of booking a time slot.
