September 21, 2020 Update

Dear U Prep families,

Thank you to all of you that have engaged in conversation with us over the last 10 days about our scholars return to in-person learning. We continue to appreciate your questions, comments and words of encouragement as we strive to deliver a top quality education to all of your scholars in the midst of unprecedented challenges.

As we prepare to bring a number of Kindergarten and 1^st Grade scholars back into our buildings on October 5^th I wanted to share with you some schedule changes we will be implementing to ready ourselves for the change.

• On Wednesday, September 30^th and Thursday, October 1^st we will be operating a half day schedule for all grades, K – 5. The day will begin as normal at 7:30am, but will end at 11:30am.
• On Friday, October 2^nd there will be no school. 

We will be using this time to learn, and practice all of the procedures associated with the health and safety guardrails necessary to keep our community safe. At U Prep we believe in creating the time and space to build familiarity with these critical protocols so that our Staff are best positioned to receive your scholars with comfort and confidence.  

While we appreciate and acknowledge it is never ideal to reduce the time spent on learning or to change our calendar with such short notice, we hope you will understand that this approach is about keeping our community safe while delivering outstanding learning opportunities for every scholar.
