A Founding Teacher?
University Prep spent nearly a year with a group of incredible parent leaders in the Commerce City community (just north of Denver) co-designing a 3rd University Prep campus. In December of 2021, the Board of Education of the Adams 14 school district approved the charter application and the new school is set to open in the fall of 2024. With a planning year currently underway (2023-24) U Prep is recruiting its founding educators who are thrilled by the idea of launching a brand-new school alongside of a deeply committed and invested group of families.
Unique to this 3rd campus within our network is the introduction of Pre-Kindergarten programming. For the first time, U Prep will be operating tuition-free, full-day, 4-year-old early childhood education. With the school planning to launch with its first PreK classroom in the fall, (and then growing one grade level at a time until reaching PreK – 5th grade) we are looking for amazing teachers who want an entire school year to be fully acclimated to U Prep before opening the doors to the Commerce City campus. During that year, they’ll have a chance to work alongside of the founding leadership team comprised of a Principal, Dean of Operations, and Dean of Early Childhood Education. This incredible group will have a year to calibrate their vision and build relationships and trust before the school doors ever open.
